In the year in which it celebrates its 25th anniversary, Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), known as one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, will be returning to Europe. Praia da Rocha beach in Portimão is the venue chosen for the festival’s début in Portugal, co-produced by MOT.
In 2021, MOT – Memories Of Tomorrow will be bringing one more major beach festival to Praia da Rocha in Portimão, following the previously confirmed Rolling Loud and Afro Nation. This time, MOT will be co-producing a benchmark international event, EDC, Electric Daisy Carnival, considered as one of the most spectacular shows in the area.
This is further recognition of the skills it has already shown in terms of logistics and production for complex events, always with a ready response and guaranteed success, as has become the norm at all events the company is involved in, which include, apart from the ones already mentioned, the RFM SOMNII festival.

Portimão: the European venue for EDC
The event marking the 25th anniversary of this festival will be held on 18, 19 and 20 June 2021, on Praia da Rocha in Portimão. Considered one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world, it is usually held in Las Vegas, but it has also been held in Orlando, Mexico, Japan, China and England.
This will be the second time this festival has been held in Europe – the first time was in Milton Keynes in England in 2014 – and the first time in Portugal. So, we’re expecting an unforgettable weekend, filled with music and good vibes.
For Obi Asika, co-promoter of the event, “When we produced Afro Nation in 2019, we realised that Portimão is an ideal place for holding big events. Apart from all its natural and geographic advantages, Portimão is also very good at welcoming visitors and it has leaders that are able to rise to the challenge”. The basic tickets prices for EDC Portugal start at €129.00. More information HERE. More information HERE.
