JUNE FREEDOM’S BIOGRAPHY

He was born in Boston, United States of America, but spent much of his youth in Cape Verde, his family’s country of origin, before returning to the US, where he went through New York and Los Angeles. This cultural fusion and a deep love for music propelled the multicultural artist to the pinnacle of his career, which he awakened to in 2021, becoming the top emerging Afropop artist from Cape Verde.

Uninhibited and highly innovative, June Freedom seeks to blend various musical styles in each of his creations, ranging from alt-Pop, Worldbeat, Zouk, Kizomba to Hip-Hop, and expresses himself in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Creole. This undeniably unique fusion of transatlantic sounds resulted in the success of June’s first full album, ‘Anchor Baby.’ On the anniversary of his first album, June released a restructured version of ‘Anchor Baby (Deluxe),’ which expanded the artist’s already-acquired worldwide successes and received public support from industry heavyweights such as Jerry Wonda, Stacy Barthe, Mally Mall, and the multi-platinum artist Akon.

In October 2023, June Freedom released his latest album, ‘7 SEAS,’ and along with it, the European tour to present his new work, which is scheduled to start in early 2024 and includes cities such as Berlin, London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Porto, and Lisbon.
