ROCKIN’1000 2025: WHEN 1000 MUSICIANS FROM 29 COUNTRIES MAKE HISTORY

On September 6, 2025, the Estádio Municipal de Leiria once again became the stage for one of the greatest rock shows in the world, selling out for the second consecutive year and cementing Portugal as an international reference for this event that celebrates music, unity, and culture.
This edition brought together musicians from 29 countries and an audience from 46 nations, proving once again that rock has no borders. Rockin’1000 is more than a concert — it is a global movement that breaks barriers and unites people through the transformative power of music.
The setlist featured true rock anthems — from “Enter Sandman” (Metallica) to “Lithium” (Nirvana) and “Born to be Wild” (Steppenwolf). The most emotional moment arrived with Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” when the entire stadium turned into a collective choir, creating a sonic and visual spectacle that will remain in the memory of every fan present.
Portugal played a leading role: 61% of the musicians were Portuguese, and around 60% had already participated in the previous edition, showing the strength and growth of this community in the country. The presence of two very special guests — Tim and Marisa Liz — added even more national identity to the show, representing the culture and energy of Portuguese rock.
Another highlight came from the partnership with IVECO x Wayfer, which brought the impressive truck from Metallica’s latest tour to the stadium, creating a direct connection between Rockin’1000 and the world of the biggest rock bands on the planet.
MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, promoter and producer of the event, is proud to have brought this chapter of Rockin’1000 in Portugal to life: an unforgettable moment that reinforces Portugal’s place on the global map of major music events.
