ROCKIN’1000 MADE ITS DEBUT IN PORTUGAL: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS AND RETURN IN 2025
The debut of Rockin’1000 in Portugal, held at the Municipal Stadium of Leiria, was a historic milestone. On September 14, 2024, 1,000 musicians from 23 countries, with a special emphasis on Portuguese talent, thrilled the crowd with electrifying performances of rock classics. Hits by Metallica, Nirvana, Queen, and Foo Fighters formed an unforgettable setlist, which also included special moments alongside Pedro Abrunhosa and Nic Cester (JET).
More than just a concert, the event was a celebration of music and togetherness, creating an atmosphere of pure emotion that united musicians, the audience, and the city itself. Leiria became the epicenter of rock for three days, reaffirming its status as a stage for major events.
The success was so profound that Fabio Zaffagnini, the project’s founder, announced the return of Rockin’1000 to Portugal in 2025, promising even more energy and unforgettable memories. A night that will forever hold a place in the history of rock in Portugal.
