A historical edition of the AFRO NATION festival in 2023 is once again co-promoted by MOT – Memories of Tomorrow.

Over 40,000 fans from 140 countries came together at Praia da Rocha for the most memorable edition of Afro Nation.

On the opening night, the event featured a performance by Burna Boy, along with electrifying concerts by Aya Nakamura, Popcaan, Ayra Atarr, and Nissi. Wizkid closed the second day of the festival, which also included performances by Asake, Little Simz, Bnxn, Black Sherif, Ms Banks, and Tyla. Davido closed the last day with hip-hop vibes alongside legends like 50 Cent and Booba, as well as other highlights like Fireboy DML, Sauti Sol, Gyakie, and Nelson Freitas representing the host country that welcomes the biggest Afro beats festival.

Since the legendary debut event of Afro Nation in Portugal in 2019, where MOT – Memories of Tomorrow was already a co-promoter and welcomed 20,000 people, the festival has more than doubled in size for its third edition this year. During this period, Afro Nation has also expanded to three continents, with debuts in Miami and Detroit in North America and Nigeria in Africa. With the growth of many African artists and the rise of new global Afro beats in recent years, Afro Nation is at the heart of festivals dedicated to the African vibe.
