The solidarity project “Concertamos Juntos” was created with the aim of supporting the reconstruction of the areas most affected by Storm Kristin, bringing together artists, companies and the community around a common cause.
Developed in partnership with the Intermunicipal Community of the Leiria Region (CIMRL), producers Ritmos and MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, and with the support of Vodafone, this initiative combines cultural actions with fundraising efforts, with all proceeds fully allocated to Caritas Diocesana de Leiria.
As a gesture of appreciation to the local community and all the volunteers involved, a free concert will take place on May 23, next to the Leiria Municipal Stadium, from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Produced by MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, the event will feature a lineup bringing together some of the biggest names in Portuguese music, including Agir, Bárbara Bandeira, Calema, Discursos, Plutónio, Cuca Roseta, Tony Carreira and Kura.
Beyond the musical component, the event will also have a strong connection to the local community. The venue will include a food area exclusively featuring local businesses, as well as a space dedicated to regional commerce and crafts. Participation in these areas will be free of charge, with the aim of directly supporting local producers, entrepreneurs and creators, while contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
“Concertamos Juntos” has a fully charitable nature, with all entities and artists participating on a voluntary basis, ensuring that the impact of the initiative is entirely social. The funds raised will be allocated to the “Emergency Fund – Support for Victims of Storm Kristin”, managed by Caritas Diocesana de Leiria, which ensures a fast and rigorous response to the needs of affected families.
Storm Kristin left deep marks across the Central region, affecting thousands of people and causing significant damage to homes and infrastructure. In this context, the project emerges as a collective response, using music as a driving force for unity, hope and reconstruction. It is also supported by RTP, RFM, JCDecaux, Repsol and the Centro 2030 Regional Programme, reinforcing the shared commitment of multiple entities to the region’s recovery.
