RFM SOMNII 2022

RFM SOMNII – The Biggest Sunset Ever made its long-awaited return in 2022, on July 8th, 9th and 10th, at Praia do Relógio, reuniting thousands of Portuguese and international festivalgoers after a two-year hiatus.

Produced and promoted by MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, the festival’s comeback became a symbol of resilience, celebration, and freedom. Under the motto “The Summer Is Ours”, RFM SOMNII once again asserted itself as Portugal’s biggest beach party, standing out for its positive atmosphere, high energy, and immersive seaside experience.

The celebration began even before the official opening with the traditional campers’ welcome party, setting the tone for an unforgettable weekend. Over three days, Praia do Relógio turned into a massive crowd of happy festivalgoers, living the sunset to the fullest.

Headliners Alan Walker, Alok, and Vini Vici delivered unforgettable performances, exceeding expectations and creating moments of collective euphoria. The Dreams Stage also stood out with powerful performances by MISS K8, MORTEN, Brennan Heart, and CL, who introduced K-Pop to thousands of Portuguese fans.

Portuguese electronic music was also strongly represented, with standout performances by Karetus, Diego Miranda, and Kura, reinforcing national talent on an international stage.

Alongside the beach festival, the City Festival, developed in partnership with the Figueira da Foz Municipality, once again brought entertainment and cultural activities to the city streets. One of the major innovations of the 2022 edition was the introduction of a cashless payment system, improving the overall experience through electronic wristbands.

The success of this edition reaffirmed RFM SOMNII as a cornerstone of the Portuguese summer festival calendar and set high expectations for future editions.
