In February 2024, June Freedom performed in Portugal as part of his European tour, presenting his latest album 7 Seas. The artist was scheduled to perform in Lisbon and Porto, in a co-production by Live Nation and MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, in association with CAA**.
The Lisbon concert took place at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo, the chosen venue for June Freedom’s exclusive solo performance in Portugal. The night was marked by a strong connection between the artist and the audience, driven by his contemporary Afro/Pop sound that blends Cape Verdean roots with American influences.
The show featured special guest appearances by Dino D’Santiago, Nélson Freitas and Djodje, making the event a unique and memorable celebration of Lusophone and African music. The Porto concert was ultimately cancelled by the artist due to health reasons.
June Freedom’s visit to Portugal further confirmed his international rise, as the most streamed Cape Verdean artist worldwide, reinforcing his status as one of the leading global Afro/Pop revelations.
