Music once again brings people together for a greater cause.
On May 23, Leiria will host a free concert celebrating strength, unity, and the ability to start again. After a challenging period for the region, this is a moment to come together once more, to the sound of some of the biggest names in Portuguese music.
From 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, next to the Leiria Municipal Stadium, the audience will experience an afternoon and evening of live music featuring Agir, Bárbara Bandeira, Calema, Discursos, Plutónio, Cuca Roseta, Tony Carreira and Kura — in an atmosphere designed to celebrate community and create new memories.
Promoted by Vodafone, in partnership with CIMRL and producers Ritmos and MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, this event was created with a strong social purpose, supporting the region. It is also backed by RTP, RFM, JCDecaux, Repsol and the Centro 2030 Regional Programme, reinforcing the shared commitment of multiple entities to the region’s recovery.
Throughout the venue, there will also be dedicated areas for local businesses, including food and regional crafts, showcasing the best Leiria has to offer while directly supporting those who need it most. Admission is free and open to all.
More than a concert, it’s a gathering. A moment to celebrate, support, and move forward… together.
These were the areas of the country most severely affected by Storm Kristin, experiencing unprecedented levels of destruction. On January 28, the region faced the most extreme weather conditions in the country (particularly strong winds), which caused severe damage to critical infrastructure and led to the near-total destruction of electricity and communications networks. Thousands of homes were partially or completely destroyed, resulting in large-scale economic losses with national impact.
The “Concertamos Juntos” project therefore focuses its solidarity efforts where the impact of Storm Kristin was most significant and the needs are most urgent.
The “Emergency Fund – Support for Victims of Storm Kristin”, managed by Caritas Diocesana de Leiria, provides support in response to urgent social needs resulting from the storm. All applications are assessed according to defined criteria and evaluated on-site by specialized technicians, in coordination with entities such as local municipalities and social security services.
The fund is complementary in nature and does not replace insurance coverage or public support.
This organization was chosen due to its extensive experience in supporting vulnerable populations and its ability to respond quickly in emergency situations. It is widely recognized for its credibility, close connection to local communities, and rigorous assessment of the real needs of affected families.
The management of the “Emergency Fund – Support for Victims of Storm Kristin” will be subject to an external audit carried out by Forvis Mazars, reinforcing the commitment to transparency, traceability, and accountability.
Individuals or families may benefit from the Fund if they have suffered damage or losses as a result of Storm Kristin, are in a situation of socio-economic or housing vulnerability, and do not have sufficient support from other sources (public or insurance). The Fund exclusively supports primary residences.
Support requests must be submitted directly to Caritas Diocesana de Leiria through this link, where each case will be assessed according to the Fund’s defined criteria. Submission of an application does not, in itself, guarantee approval. Each case is evaluated on-site by specialized technicians, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
