BR Fest 2023

BR Fest made its debut with outstanding success on 15 and 16 July, turning Praia do Relógio in Figueira da Foz into the stage for the largest event ever held in Portugal dedicated entirely to Brazilian music and culture. The festival’s first edition brought together thousands of people in a unique good vibes, feet-in-the-sand atmosphere, celebrating the cultural connection between Brazil and Portugal through music.

Over two days, Brazilian and Portuguese audiences came together to enjoy performances by some of the biggest names in Brazilian music, including Martinho da Vila, Zeca Pagodinho, Melim, Glória Groove, Kevin O Chris, Lexa and Pocah, among many others. The shows created unforgettable moments of celebration, unity and shared emotion on both sides of the Atlantic.

With a diverse programme and a contagious atmosphere, BR Fest established itself as a true meeting point for Brazilian culture in Portugal. The energy on the beach united people of all ages — including entire families — in two days filled with joy, dance and happiness, making many festivalgoers feel “at home”.

The inaugural edition also stood out for its innovation, becoming the first festival in the world to bring TikTok onto the main stage. Brazilian and Portuguese content creators entertained the crowd between concerts, delivering spontaneous moments of fun and direct interaction with the audience, in a pioneering format that particularly resonated with younger generations.

BR Fest was further supported by institutional partners, sponsors and brands that enhanced the overall experience through creative brand activations and innovative services. The festival left a lasting mark on Portugal’s events landscape and is set to return in 2024 with exciting new developments.
