BORA!

On 3 and 4 September, Arouca’s historic centre hosted the first edition of BORA! – Arouca Travel Encounters, establishing itself as a meeting point dedicated to travel, tourism and discovery. Over a lively weekend, the event brought together the local community, visitors and tourism professionals in an inspiring and engaging atmosphere.

Curated by Follow the Sun (João Amorim) and produced by MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, BORA! featured a diverse programme focused on tourism, management, innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability. Workshops, showcookings, concerts, exhibitions and outdoor experiences—such as the Paiva Walkways and the 516 Arouca suspension bridge—offered memorable moments for all ages.

This first edition was co-financed by Norte 2020, Portugal 2020 and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and partnered with AGA – Arouca Geopark Association, reinforcing the event’s commitment to sustainable development and territorial promotion.
