Andrea Bocelli | Coimbra

On 25 and 26 June 2021, the Estádio de Coimbra hosted two memorable concerts by Andrea Bocelli, welcoming approximately 13,000 spectators each night. With the venue virtually sold out, the performances marked a particularly symbolic moment, signalling the return of live music after a prolonged interruption caused by the pandemic.

In strict compliance with all guidelines set by Portugal’s Directorate-General of Health, the concerts delivered a safe and deeply emotional experience, restoring audiences’ opportunity to attend one of the most highly anticipated performances in the country. The programme combined great operatic arias with some of the tenor’s most iconic songs, including Con Te Partirò and Nessun Dorma.

The evening also featured a special appearance by Mariza, who captivated the audience with a duet of Bésame Mucho alongside Andrea Bocelli, as well as a performance of Gente da Minha Terra. The concert further included appearances by other guest artists, such as singer Maria Aleida and the duo Carisma, enriching what became a truly unique musical experience.
