Afro Nation 2025

Afro Nation returned to Portimão in 2025 to celebrate its 5th anniversary, reaffirming its status as one of the world’s most influential cultural phenomena.

Over three days, from 9–11 July, Praia da Rocha became the epicenter of a global celebration, welcoming more than 40,000 attendees from 180 countries in a powerful tribute to African music, culture, and identity. With a lineup headlined by Burna Boy, Davido, Tems, Mary J. Blige, and Booba, the 2025 edition confirmed Afro Nation as a worldwide phenomenon — one that transcends generations and borders through rhythms that now resonate across the globe.

Blending the sounds of Afrobeats and Amapiano, the festival once again proved it is more than an event; it is a cultural movement that celebrates diversity, belonging, and community. Since 2019, MOT – Memories of Tomorrow has proudly served as co-promoter of a project that is redefining live entertainment while positioning Portugal at the heart of global culture.
