BR FEST ARRIVED AND CONQUERED HEARTS WITH TREMENDOUS SUCCESS! ON JULY 15 AND 16, THE PRAIA DO RELÓGIO, IN FIGUEIRA DA FOZ, WAS THE STAGE FOR THE FIRST EDITION OF BR FEST, A FESTIVAL COMPLETELY DEDICATED TO BRAZILIAN MUSIC AND CULTURE. IT MADE HISTORY BY BRINGING TOGETHER THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN WHAT WAS THE LARGEST EVENT EVER DEVOTED TO BRAZILIAN MUSIC IN PORTUGAL.
In a unique atmosphere of “good vibes and feet in the sand,” BR FEST brought together thousands of Brazilians and Portuguese who vibrated together to the sound of today’s best artists, in unique moments of celebration and unity between people from both sides of the Atlantic. Martinho da Vila, Zeca Pagodinho, Melim, Glória Groove, Pocah, Kevin O Chris, Lexa, and Pocah were some of the names who took the stage and delighted the audience with performances that will go down in history.
The diverse program and the contagious atmosphere made BR FEST a unique event, a true gathering and celebration of Brazilian culture and music on Portuguese soil, making thousands of Brazilians feel “at home,” as many festivalgoers had the opportunity to share on social media after the event.
The festival’s good energy, difficult to put into words, brought festivalgoers of different styles and ages together, including entire families, in two days of pure joy, happiness, and sharing. The “good vibe” of the thousands of people who attended the event was felt through dance, song, and all the festivities that filled those moments on the sandy beach.
In addition to the eclectic lineup of artists, BR FEST pioneered by bringing TikTok to the main stage, becoming the world’s first festival to showcase this innovation where Brazilian and Portuguese content creators took the stage during artist changes, providing moments of pure entertainment that thrilled the crowd.
These TikTokers, true social media stars with millions of followers and a phenomenal impact on younger audiences, provided moments of fun and relaxation for everyone with their famous dances and exciting interactions with the audience.
With charismatic presence, Vanessa Lopes, Amanda Araújo, Malu Camargo, Constanza Ariza, Núria Serrote, and Bruna Neves added an extra dose of animation and spontaneity to the party, winning the sympathy of all attendees.
The BR FEST also had the tireless support of various institutional partners, among which the Figueira da Foz City Council and the Central Portugal Tourism stand out, as well as Sponsors that helped the event make an even more significant impact on its festivalgoers through unique brand activation experiences and innovative services in various areas. BRAZILIAN MUSIC LEGENDS ENCHANTED THE AUDIENCE
BR FEST brought acclaimed stars of Brazilian music to the stage, such as Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho, who moved the audience with their remarkable performances.
These two living legends of Brazilian music demonstrated why they are so admired and respected, leading the audience to sing along to their iconic songs from start to finish in each performance.
In addition to these highly acclaimed musicians, the festival showcased new artists who have been revolutionizing Brazilian music and winning fans not only in Brazil but also in Portugal, highlighting the diversity and the current richness of the Brazilian music scene.
In a more Pop-oriented direction, Jovem Dionísio and Melim led the crowd to sing along to several of their songs; Glória Groove, one of the most acclaimed artists at the event, brought her cabaret to BR FEST and drove the thousands of fans who eagerly awaited her performance to a frenzy until the end; the real bursts of adrenaline and madness coincided with the performances of Pocah, Lexa, and Kevin o Chris, who set the Praia do Relógio beach on fire with their Funk rhythms.
THE TIKTOK PHENOMENON INVADED THE BR FEST STAGE
For the first time in the history of festivals, BR FEST innovated by bringing TikTok hosts to the main stage, and the result was absolutely amazing. Vanessa Lopes, the biggest TikToker in Brazil, Amanda Araújo, a dancer responsible for the boldest TikTok choreographies, and Malu Camargo, a content producer in the fashion and lifestyle industry, delighted the audience with their famous dances and entertaining interactions.
Alongside these Brazilian stars, three of the most influential content creators in Portugal, Constança Ariza, Núria Serrote, and Bruna Neves, also took the stage during the breaks between concerts, ensuring lively moments throughout the event.
With their charismatic presence, these true internet stars attracted even more families and children to the event, providing moments of fun and relaxation for everyone present. As Ambassadors and Hosts of the event, they left an unmistakable mark on the event, making BR FEST an unforgettable experience.
AN UNFORGETTABLE MULTICULTURAL EXPERIENCE
BR FEST wasn’t just about music, but also a celebration of Brazilian culture in all its essence. Visitors could enjoy a complete experience with a blend of culture, cuisine, art, and lifestyle, creating memorable moments throughout the event.
It’s worth noting that during the two days of the event, a mural measuring 16 meters in length was painted by Theodoro Autops (@a_utops), An up-and-coming Brazilian visual artist who treated the attendees to his art as the backdrop of the event.
TRIBUTE TO MARÍLIA MENDONÇA, SERTANEJINHO, AND CARNAFEST: BRAZILIAN TALENT IN PORTUGAL
Recognizing BR FEST as a point of convergence for people and cultures, MOT, the producer and promoter of the event, also invited Brazilian organizations operating in the biggest parties in Portugal to join the event. The response to the invitation was immediate and led to significant moments that were part of the line-up.
Special mention goes to the grand Marília Mendonça Tribute, a touching homage to the late “Sertaneja diva,” which brought together thousands of admirers of her legacy in a moment marked by intense sharing of feelings and emotions, becoming one of the festival’s highlights. Another unmissable moment was the emotional celebration of Bahia Carnival (Carnafest), transporting attendees to an atmosphere of pure carnival joy by the seaside. In addition to these two moments, the lively “Sertanejinho” took the stage and charmed the audience with the latest successes of this increasingly popular music style, eliciting many smiles and songs from the fans present.
BR FEST: THE CHALLENGE OF CREATING A WORLD-CLASS FESTIVAL FROM SCRATCH AND THE NEXT STEPS
