Afro Nation Portugal 2022 – Three Days of Abrobeats
After Afro Nation postponement for two years, on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd of 2022, Portimão once again received thousands of people in a festival that celebrates African culture.
In co-production with MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, this edition had some of the biggest names of industry in several unforgettable live performances. Megan Thee Stallion, Chris Brown, Wizkid, Davido, P-Square and Burna Boy, were among the most recognized artists to perform on this stage located on one of the most emblematic beaches in the Algarve, Praia da Rocha.
The rhythm of afrobeats brought together thousands of people in each of the three days of Afro Nation, and for Tiago Castelo Branco, MOT’s director, the event is “the only on its kind in Europe”. Portimão now has a large-scale, reference festival of this culture, and with unimaginable premieres in Portugal.
